Little Car Company Made a Full-size Version of the Tamiya Wild One RC Car from the 80s

The Tamiya Wild One RC car was one of the most popular remote control cars in the 1980s, a toy much beloved by kids and RC enthusiasts alike. And now, thanks to the Little Car Company, you can drive a real-life, full-sized version yourself.

Called the “Wild One Max”, the vehicle stands 74.8 inches wide and 141.7 inches long, with room for two adults to fit in the full-sized cockpit. Features faithfully replicated from the RC model include the vibrant red roll cage and the two Cobra bucket seats (complete with four-point harnesses), but everything else has been upsized and upgraded.

14-inch wheels featuring all-terrain tires and 10.6-inch ground clearance make it a great off-roading vehicle, and the eight integrated battery packs give you up to 14.4 kWh, 37 horsepower, a 62 MPH top speed, and a range of 68 miles of run time.

Though it’s not road-legal in the U.S., anyone in the UK and Europe will find it an absolute delight to race this grown-up RC car both off and on the road.
